General Description:
Be prepared to act fast in an emergency by getting trained in First Aid. This course is for the person who wants to learn how to provide emergency medical treatments to family members, friends or co-workers, when unexpected medical injuries occur and professional help is not immediately available. Applications include breathing problems, chest pain, fainting, diabetes, stroke, seizures, bleeding you can see, bleeding you can’t see, mouth and tooth injuries, shock, broken bones, sprains and bruises, burns, electrocution, insect and animal bites, insect stings, poisoning and temperature related emergencies including hypothermia and heat stroke. Settings for applications include homes, business locations, and outdoor areas. Completing students will receive a two-year AHA First AID training certification cards on the day of the class. Registration ends two business days before start of class.
